While Carnival has toned down somewhat from its beginnings, it still maintains the reputation for a good time, all the time. While far from a romantic getaway, you will have a great time on any of Carnival's Caribbean cruises.

Carnival owns Cunard, Seabourn, Costa, Windstar, Holland America, and P&O Princess. Carnival on its own maintains 19 ships, and a total of 66 with the lines mentioned previously.

The Excellent, The Mediocre, and The Bad:

The Excellent

• alternative dining facilities
• 24 hour a day pizza
• great for children
• senior's discount available

The Mediocre

• limited, (if any) educational lectures
• average food quality
• limited quiet time
• depending on your viewpoint - too many children
• tips are automatically added to your bill, HOWEVER, you can adjust the amount up or down by visiting the information desk on board ship.

The Bad

• not much really unless you goofed and boarded for a quiet time!
